Make the most of your Financial Meetings

Your meeting should be all about you.  Come prepared and don't be afraid to ask questions.  We will have lost of questions for you as well, so be prepared with the materials suggested in the checklist below.  We will use this information to get as clear picture of your financial situation.


What to Bring

  • A list of all your assets, including real estate, life insurance, stocks, bonds and mutual funds
  • Employee benefit booklet
  • Most recent pension plan statement
  • Notice of Assessment
  • A list of all your expenses
  • A list of financial goals

What to Ask

  • What services to you offer?
  • How are you paid?
  • What are your qualifications?
  • How do we determine my risk tolerance?
  • How do we determine what I will need to fund my retirement?
  • How much money do I need to invest and how often?
  • What are the possible risks of a suggested plan?
  • What effect will these investments have on my taxes?
  • How often do I have to revise my plan?
  • How will I know how my investments are doing?
  • What kind of communication will I get from you?
  • How often will I hear from you/see you?

Once we have implemented your financial plan, it's a good idea to get a financial check-up at least once a year.  This will give you a chance to review the progress that you have made toward your goals, factor in any personal changes in your life and perhaps fine tune your portfolio to meet both your current and longer-term financial goals.
